CONSUMER DIRECTED SERVICES
At A Rare Kind of Care, we empower individuals to take control of their care through Consumer Directed Services (CDS) in Missouri.
This Medicaid-funded program allows eligible individuals to choose their own caregiver—often a trusted family member or friend—and gives them the flexibility to manage their own care.
With CDS, caregivers can get paid to assist with:
- Personal care
- Meal preparation
- Cleaning
- Errands and daily tasks
Qualifications for CDS in Missouri: - Must be a Missouri resident, age 18 or older
- Must have Medicaid
- Must have a physical disability
- Must require a nursing home level of care
